My passion for exceptional food and beverages was instilled in me early on in Stockholm, Sweden, thanks to my parents—both chefs deeply immersed in the restaurant industry. Through them, I developed a profound appreciation for taste, quality, and craftsmanship.
In my professional life, I had the privilege of being exposed to some of the finest wines and spirits in the world, which taught me firsthand what true quality and artistry can achieve. Then, in the early 1990s, I had the opportunity to step into that world myself—to create something of my own. For me, that meant reviving Swedish Punsch.
What drew me to this traditional Swedish rum liqueur was the realization that it had all but faded from both national and international consciousness. This once-revered spirit, with its deep history and complex character, had been nearly forgotten. My goal was clear: to reintroduce Swedish Punsch with authenticity, elevating it to a premium standard worthy of its heritage.
My journey with Swedish Punsch began in 1992, and in 1994, I launched Facile Punsch with the ambition of reviving and elevating this historic spirit. This pursuit eventually led to the creation of KRONAN Swedish Punsch in 2012—a product crafted to showcase the deep, complex flavors that had made Swedish Punsch a staple of Swedish drinking traditions. KRONAN was brought to life in collaboration with Haus Alpenz and Eric Seed [(link to Alpenz and partner)], whose expertise and dedication helped reintroduce this historic spirit to the United States.

Our philosophy is simple: never compromise. Every bottle we create is driven by an unwavering commitment to authenticity, quality, and tradition—regardless of cost. The expansion of our portfolio is a tribute to the legacy of Swedish Punsch and the remarkable rums that define its character: Batavia Arrack from Java, and rums from Guyana and Jamaica. Each element is meticulously selected to ensure that KRONAN remains a world-class expression of this unique category.
